Job Description

An Assistant Manager/ Manager, Internship and Projects position is open at the Singapore Hybrid-Integrated Next-Generation -Electronics (SHINE) Centre within the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS).

Duties & Responsibilities

The candidate will have a leading role in managing internship and projects, reviewing, and monitoring the execution, leading all aspects of the communication with the involved industry partners.

The candidate will have responsibilities in the following areas:

1. Work with post graduate study stakeholders and CFG on student enlistment, and internship and project placements both locally and internationally.
2. Explore with EDB and Centre for Future-ready Graduates (CFG) to source new industry partners to provide internship and project opportunities to the students.
3. Coordinate internship and project postings, interviews, selections, and briefings for both industry partners and students.
4. Support student internship and project management including liaison between companies and student supervisors.
5. Assist on student internship and project progress monitoring and presentation arrangements.
6. Organise programme activities such as workshops, seminars and guest lectures.
7. Interact with the technical teams and industry partners on visits at NUS SHINE where necessary.
8. Ad-hoc matters relating to internship and project management.

Prior experience with programme management roles, exposure to different work environments, and a background on Electrical or Computer Engineering are highly valued.

Qualifications


. Possess a bachelor's degree from a reputable university, preferably in Electrical Engineering or related (e.g., Computer, Communication, or Information Engineering).
. Knowledge and experience in programme management is highly valued, along with experience in different roles and functions.
. Good interpersonal, communication and leadership skills are required along with good written and oral communication skills.
. The candidate needs to have high tolerance for ambiguity and ability to multi-task, ability to prepare/ disclose/ handle information of a confidential nature, as well as to work in a team and positive 'can-do' attitude, as documented by prior work experience and reference letters.
. Open to Fixed Term Contract.
