As a Senior Barista, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional coffee experiences to our customers. Your responsibilities will include crafting high-quality coffee beverages, ensuring consistent product quality, curating innovative coffee and tea-based beverages for pastry pairings, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for customers. This position requires a passion for coffee, strong customer service skills, and the ability to lead and train other baristas.

Job Description:

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and pour-over coffee, following established recipes and quality standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of different coffee beans, brewing methods, and flavor profiles to assist customers in making coffee choices.
  • Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and calibration of all coffee equipment for optimal performance.
  • Efficiently and accurately handle customer orders for both food and beverages, providing a friendly and engaging experience.
  • Assist in training new barista hires, ensuring they understand the café's offerings, equipment operation, and customer service expectations.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on coffee beans, milk, and other ingredients to maintain freshness and consistency.
  • Implement and uphold quality control procedures to consistently deliver high-quality coffee beverages.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns regarding coffee quality promptly and professionally.
  • Cultivate strong customer relationships to create a welcoming and personalized experience.
  • Recommend and promote café offerings to enhance the customer experience and boost sales.
  • Assist in monitoring and managing inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the preparation area, espresso machines, and brewing equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance on coffee equipment and report any issues to the Technical Supervisor for timely repairs.

Requirement:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a barista in the coffee industry, preferably in a 5-star hotel setting or upscale café.
  • Thorough knowledge of coffee beans and brewing methods familiarity with latte art is a plus.
  • Certification in food safety and hygiene.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Leadership and mentoring abilities to guide and train junior baristas.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of coffee quality and service with attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Additional Info:

  • AWS + VB (depends performance) provided
  • 5 days work (Off on Monday and another day will depends on schedule (Tuesday-Sunday))
