Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Develop financial models and analyze them to support strategic initiatives
  • Support management team and the Heads of Department with data-driven analysis
  • Propose cost improvement to business units.
  • Excellent leadership to guide and lead a team
  • Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation and make necessary recommendation to the Management
  • Engage in continuous process improvement and special projects
  • Understand business and its strategy, be an active part of the decision-making process across all facets of the business units
  • Manages accounting functions, reviewing of reports, statistics detailing financial results.
  • Establishes and maintains accounting practices to ensure accurate and reliable data necessary for business operations.
  • Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.

  • In Charge in maintaining full sets of accounts of subsidiaries
  • Oversee both local and overseas subsidiaries and joint venture companies.
  • Review month end closing of accounts.
  • Manages the preparation of the company's budget.
  • Review monthly financial statements consolidation for the group.
  • Forecasts cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment.
  • Review monthly consolidated accounts, quarterly and year end results announcement to SGX-ST and ensures compliance with Singapore FRS and other statutory requirements.
  • Review the Annual Report
  • Prepare monthly financial analysis for PL and BS (Actual vs Budget vs prior period)
  • Prepare GST Submission
  • Assist in monthly POC Computation for revenue and cost recognition (including monthly allocation, cost accruals, project progress, etc.)
  • Assist in year-end audit and tax| Manage tax, audit or external regulatory matters and liaise with external parties
  • Responsible for credit risk management
  • Liaising with the banker and experience in getting new facilities line will be an added advantage
  • Supervises professional and clerical accounting employees in daily operation.
  • Participate in other projects, programs or activities, as assigned.
  • Any other adhoc duties as assigned by the superiors

Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy or Finance or equivalent such as CPA/CFA/ACCA is welcome to apply
  • At least 6 years' experience in leading a Finance Team

. At least of 6 years of relevant working experience in an MNC/Listed company

. Experience in Marine/Shipyard or Construction industry is advantageous

  • Good knowledge in finance operations, accounting fundamentals, controls and management reporting
  • Prior experience in oil & gas industry is highly advantageous
  • Experience in MS Dynamics 365 & ERP system will be an added advantage
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data
  • Experience in strengthening internal control and process improvement
  • Meticulous, positive mindset and possess 'Can-do' attitude.
  • Hardworking, meticulous and able to take on ad-hoc tasks from time to time.
  • Culturally adaptable
  • Chinese speaking to communicate with Chinese speaking stakeholders & vendors
  • Designation and remuneration will be dependent on relevant experience.
