Qualifications, Roles & Responsibilities

St John's Chapel is an Anglican Parish. Our Mandarin and Dialect speaking congregation seeks a theologically qualified, Chinese-language proficient, energetic Pastor to perform the following duties:

. Holds a Master of Divinity to serve in a Mandarin and Dialect speaking congregation

. Able to use English, Cantonese and Hokkien as a working language as well.

. 10-15 years' experience serving in a Church setting with a good track record.

. Has the depth of life experience and maturity to minister to youth, young adults and seniors.

. Regular visitation to members of both genders at home and in hospitals

. Teaching at workshops, Bible classes as well as 1-1 Bible studies.

. Coordinating worship services

. Organize, connect members to and lead small groups

. Devising and sourcing resource materials for cell group use

. Able to lead Overseas Missions trip

. Liaison person between Chinese and English ministries

. Be part of church or ministry-level outreach events

. Conduct wake and funeral services when needed

. Perform admin duties that support the ministry under his care

. Handle AV equipment.

. Be part of team leadership at the ministry, staff, and church leadership level
