What you'll do

With social media becoming a prevalence in media consumption and brand marketing, we are looking for a driven and analytical content creator to produce exceptional content for the business. You will be able to identify and iterate on trends quickly, communicate brand and product propositions effectively, and host content/ be the face of the brand when necessary. You will help tell stories and integrate various content and conversations to bring consumers, influencers and partners into our world, and us into theirs.

Your roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, conceptualization and posting of social media content to increase awareness, engagement, sales, and partnerships.
    • Campaign ideation/ development, especially for social media.
  • Creating compelling and engaging social media content, including stills, video, instagram stories and reposting of tagged stories/ posts.
    • Creating other campaign/ website/ marketplace related content where necessary (which may sometimes overlap with social media content).
    • Conceptualizing, planning and executing photoshoots and videoshoots of all scales.
    • Copywriting for all aspects of content.
    • Being featured or hosting content where relevant/ necessary.
  • Managing the asset library.
  • Managing DMs and community/ customer comments/ questions for Instagram.

Who you are and what you bring

  • You're a natural story-teller and content creator, especially in quick, short-form, low fidelity formats, who is confident in front of the camera
  • You have a strong appreciation for trending content and have creative ways of leveraging such trends to tell stories for the brand / products.
  • You're able to generate engaging content that addresses buying needs and unique selling points.
  • You're proficient in photo/ video editing and use of graphic/ video editing tools (eg. Adobe Lightroom/ Photoshop/ After Effects/ Premiere Pro)
  • You have great design skills, including layout, typography and video. Illustrations are a bonus
  • You're an avid user and content creator across various social media channels including Instagram and Tiktok
  • Basic copywriting and design skills will be a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of advertising will be useful.
  • You're able to multi-task and prioritize in order to move with opportunities and the fast changing e-commerce environment.
  • You're flexible with work hours, recognizing the campaign nature of e-commerce.
  • You're an effective communicator in all delivery styles (e.g. verbal, written, messaging, etc)
  • You display high mental agility and strong critical thinking skills.
  • You're a hands-on problem solver who is solution-focused, think fast on your feet, and can adapt quickly to changing situations.
  • You're highly accountable and driven by success.
  • You're both self-driven and collaborative, being able to work well independently and as part of a larger team.
  • You love stretching yourself and thriving in a challenging, fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • You're fluent with: Microsoft Office, Google Docs
  • You're passionate about home living essentials and have an eye for great design
