Product Management:

  1. Market Competitor Search and Study:
    1. Conduct research on market competitors.
    2. Update the competitor comparison list with any new findings, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  2. Review Product Roadmap:
    1. Based on feedback from sales, tech or other teams, review the product roadmap.
    2. Adjust timelines, features, and priorities to ensure the product development is on track and aligns with market demands.
  3. Review Product Development Status with Tech Team:
    1. Have regular check-ins with the technology team to monitor the progress of product development.
    2. Address any blockers or challenges that may impact the delivery timeline.
  4. Explore Tools for Product Rollout:
    1. Research and evaluate new tools and technologies that could facilitate the product rollout process.
    2. Assess their potential impact on improving product functionality, user experience, or operational efficiency.
  5. Review Product Demos:
    1. Coordinate with the sales and tech teams to review product demos, ensuring they accurately represent the product's features and capabilities.
    2. Identify any issues or discrepancies in the demo and work with the relevant teams to resolve them promptly to maintain the integrity of the sales process.

Sales & Marketing:

  1. Align with the Sales Team: Begin the day by coordinating with the sales team to understand their needs for client pitching. Discuss upcoming pitches and the specific requirements for each client's deck to ensure alignment on objectives and messaging.
  2. Prepare supporting Sales Material
    1. Inclusive of sales pitch deck, product release roadmap, proposal writing, scoping and costings or any other essentials such as event support
    2. Conduct Client Research: Investigate the potential client's business, their industry trends, and specific challenges they might be facing.
    3. Propose AI Solutions: Based on the research, propose tailored AI solutions that address the client's challenges and highlight potential benefits.
    4. Design Mockups: Create mockups or demos of proposed use cases to visually represent how the AI solutions can be integrated into the client's operations.
  3. Review with the Sales Team:
    1. Present the draft pitch deck to the sales team.
    2. Discuss and estimate the cost of proposed solutions, ensuring the offerings are competitive yet profitable.
    3. Incorporate feedback from the sales team to refine the pitch.
  4. Prepare and Update Sales Materials: Continuously update and maintain a library of sales materials that can be quickly customized for different clients. Ensure that these decks are up-to-date with the latest company offerings, case studies, and industry insights.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree: Most product marketing manager positions require at least a bachelor's degree, often in fields such as marketing, business administration, communications, or related fields.

Experience:

Marketing Experience: Prior experience in marketing is essential for a product marketing manager role. This could include roles such as marketing coordinator, marketing specialist, or even general marketing roles where you gained experience with product promotion, market analysis, and customer engagement.

Product Management Experience: Experience in product management or related roles is highly valuable. Understanding product lifecycle, market research, competitive analysis, and product positioning are crucial aspects of product marketing.

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the industry in which you'll be working is often preferred. Experience within the specific industry gives you insight into market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape, which are all valuable for effective product marketing.

Leadership and Team Management: As a product marketing manager, you'll likely be leading cross-functional teams, so experience in leadership or team management roles is beneficial.

Personality: sense of ownership, responsibility, logical thinking, and effective planning, being proactive, details-oriented, and as a team player, also being firm and persuasive, and being honest. Good email writing skills, as well as good interpersonal communication and negotiation skills, including public speaking.

Language: Proficient in English (oral and written)

IT Literacy: Microsoft office suite, Google functionalities, Adobe Photoshop, various other designing tools and online team collaboration tools.
