Singapore Volex (asia) Pte Ltd Full time

As the Regional Sales Manager for APAC, you will play a pivotal role in driving Volex's direct sales initiatives in Singapore. This position requires a dynamic and results-oriented individual who is adept at fostering relationships with key accounts while also identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities within the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed sales targets set for each fiscal year.
  • Explore, develop, and cultivate new customer relationships to expand Volex's market presence in the APAC region.
  • Create and maintain customer records.
  • Take ownership of all business-related activities, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Act as the primary representative of Volex in Singapore, setting a positive and professional image for the company.

Education & Certifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred with at least 10 years of experience in the OEM field.
  • Experienced in commercial negotiation, managing key strategic partnerships, and relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Job Specific Technical Requirements:

  • Sales experience selling complex technical solutions in the Interconnect, Semiconductor, and/or Networking equipment industries preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills for internal and external presentations, with the ability to effectively communicate with design engineering, purchasing contacts, and relevant internal Volex functions.
  • Competence in sales, business development, and marketing.
  • Strong industry network at OEMs in market segments including Telecom/Datacom, Computer and Mobile Computing, Industrial, and Healthcare.
  • Leadership capability, with the eventual ability to coach a small team towards achieving business objectives.
  • Strong project management skills with excellent ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task.

Industry Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in product development in an engineering/electronics/high-tech environment. Experience in design and development for cables or connectors would be advantageous.

Job Specific Personal Requirements:

  • Ability to lead team members to accomplish projects within the customer's requirements and timeframe.
  • Possesses a healthy competitive drive, attention to detail, creativity, team player mentality, accountability, and reliability.
  • Willingness to travel, if needed, to Malaysia and Indonesia.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Mandarin or Bahasa Indonesia language skills will be a plus.
