The Department and position

The department is responsible for development and maintenance of Capital Market applications used by worldwide users.

The DATA and Regulatory Reporting section within Capital Markets IT division is responsible for the delivery and monitoring of various Pre & Post Trade transactional reporting covering various regulations - MIFID, SFTR, EMIR, APAC regulatory bodies. The team is in charge of internal transactional exchanges to regulatory authorities, as well as quality control and remediation frameworks for regulatory data reported to external regulators in support of our business activities.

'Run the bank' is the first mission of our IT department. It involves many front line IT professionals who understand the nature of business operations, timing of activities & data flowing through internal and external systems. They are continuously working with business users, infrastructure engineer and system managers to ensure a stable production.

The department is also responsible for build and delivery of in-house component platform in line with the major global projects with a high value budget. The focus of this role will be to lead and keep engage 10 to 15 team members composed by business analyst, technical lead, software developers and Application support.

Main responsibilities

In line with this, you would be expected to be fully accountable and responsible of your team deliveries on schedule, in conformance to the bank's policies and standards and within agreed levels of quality.

You will be ensuring that success criteria are defined upfront to promote alignment and actively manage expected project outcomes in line with the program outcomes.

As part of an integrated organization across 3 main sites (Paris, SQY, Singapore), you will forge close relationships with program director, others team leads, architecture functions and quality assurance teams. There will be a limited travel aspect to this role (approx. 25%).

A strong maturity in project management is required as you will be part of the project committee, reporting to the program director the progress highlights with key performance indicator, evaluating risk assessment and proposing mitigation, ensuring transparency throughout project lifecycle.

Team and expertise management

. Ensure operational efficiency of her teams in their activities

. Guide the team to achieve the development goals set in conjunction with activities need

. Develop a good autonomy of the team members while conducting day to day activities

. Define and manage the collective objectives of the team and the individual ones

. Ensure the good culture and mindset in term of compliance and security matters across all team members

Support domain strategy and interface with business

. Interface with effective communication with business stakeholders to align their needs and collect their feedback

. Interface with division ('filiere') covered by these activities

. Foster innovation and change management aligned with global CMI strategy

Secondary duties

. Serving as backup person for absent ISAP/CMI Manager and ISAP/CMI/T2R Members when required

. Other duties may be assigned

Team responsibilities

. Ensuring timely reporting of regulatory information to various regulatory bodies.

. Impact analysis and delivery planning for transactional regulatory rewrites/projects (CFTC, EMIR, JFSA, MAS, HKMA, KRX , MMSR etc)

. Daily monitoring of regulatory KPIs (Acceptance Rate, Volumetric etc) for all regulatory reporting.

. Perform data mapping analysis to understand the availability and quality of data reported.

. End user support and testing on enhancements/remediation/back reporting done for regulatory reporting.

. Impact Analysis on reporting anomalies.

. Coordination and follow-up with business users and other banking systems for impact analysis and implementation of new regulatory changes

. Resolve functional and technical issues related to regulatory reporting.

. Responsible for development of all regulatory needs for APAC.

The position requires autonomy and reliability in performing duties while maintaining close communication with rest of project/support team.

Qualifications and Profile

  • At least 10 years in Software delivery team
  • At least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Solid experience with business interaction
  • At least 5-year experience with international investment banking domain

. Strong functional knowledge of financial product & regulatory reporting & Trade life cycle

. Experienced in working on regulatory reporting projects with strong understanding of current regulatory reporting rules and regulations.

. Experience with data enhancements and data quality projects.

. Proficient knowledge on US/EMEA/APAC regulations for reporting of transactional data.

. Proficiency in using relational database systems and Microsoft excel.

. Must have proven track record of application analysis & solutioning.

. Data pipeline understanding for data sourcing and distribution is good to have.

. Must be able to drive the project/activity independently with minimal support.

Education & Work Experience:

  • Senior level (min. 10 years)
  • Master's degree in relevant specialities
