Job Description & Requirements

Key Skills:

  • Training students of IGCSE and IBDP to build robots using cutting-edge technologies, guiding and mentoring students to represent national and international competitions, guiding in developing crucial skills such as problem-solving, creativity, and confidence in making and innovating.
  • Demonstrated Experience in successful guidance for student groups in leading Robotics and Design competitions. Act as a facilitator and mentor.
  • Development and Enhancement of STEM Robotics curriculum
  • Demonstrated experience in setting up Robotics and Design lab, designing STEM Robotics and Design kits and teaching tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in working as Robotics Team Coach, Enrichment teacher Encouraging students to work on simulation-based projects.
  • Mentor students in practical coding projects, STEM-based problem-solving, experienced in developing a strong technical foundation to face and excel in real-world robotics and design challenges.
  • A deep understanding of line, shape, form, space, texture, colour, and typography. Ability to teach effective arrangement of visual elements for clarity, impact, and aesthetic appeal.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of graphic materials (paper, card, board, printing inks, etc.) and graphic manufacturing processes (printing, cutting, binding, finishing, reprographics for packaging)
  • Drawing and Sketching: Proficiency in various drawing techniques (freehand, isometric, orthographic, planometric, perspective, sectional) and the ability to teach these to students. This includes understanding projections, views, and developments.

Other Requirements

· Knowledge of resistant material manufacturing/joining and assembly processes: Confidence in using equipment and tools used for resistant materials processing such as scroll and band saws, thermoforming processing (vacuum forming and use of oven and acrylic bender) as well as joining and assembly methods for wood and plastics.

· ICT and CAD/CAM: Proficiency in Fusion 360 Software/Inkscape and ability to use 3D printer and laser cutter

- ‎Able to facilitate and manage coursework projects with consistent monitoring and feedback upon student completion at appropriate stages.

Additional subjects: Ability to teach Computer science at middle and IGCSE level. Programming language proficiency in python, java, scratch, html are required.
