Roles & Responsibilities

This role will be based in Huawei Singapore Research Centre. He/she will work together with the APAC team on academic development in the field of computing hardware related new technologies. He/she will take up the responsibilities as described below:

Responsibilities

  1. Insight into key academic organizations (such as IEEE, ACM and important local organizations) for cooperation opportunities. Identify valuable academic resources related to Huawei's business.
  2. Work closely with APAC team on organizing academic conferences/workshops, as well as supporting cooperation activities.
  3. Conduct technology scouting through academic conferences and output insight reports. Take the following responsibilities: collection and review of information, timely publish the information online, enquiries follow up, monthly status review and etc.
  4. To collaborate and communicate directly with Chinese speaking officers, stakeholders, counterparts, and customers in China HQ team
  5. Assist in other ad-hoc tasks, as required.

Requirement

  1. Master or doctor degree holder in electrical and electronics/material engineering, computing or related fields.
  2. Good analytical skills and be able to articulate the technology insights clearly.
  3. Passionate about new technologies.
  4. With good interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Proficiency in Mandarin is essential to ensure effective communication with the Chinese-speaking stakeholders, including head office, business counterparts, and customers based in China.
  6. Demonstrate a high level of responsibility and professionalism
  7. Collaborate effectively and as a strong team player.
  8. This role may require business travel to other APAC countries, such as Japan, depending on business needs
