Role Overview

We are seeking a AI Research Scientist to direct cutting-edge research and guide the development of advanced AI models and systems with both strategic and hands-on responsibilities. This role ideal for a researcher with a world-class publication record and a proven track record of mentoring teams and delivering high-impact AI innovation.

You will involve in LLMs, LMMs, RAG, intelligent agents, and persistent AI memory systems, while fostering global research collaborations and shaping our technical vision.

Key Responsibilities
Research Leadership
  • Drive end-to-end AI research from conceptualization to deployment, focusing on long-term memory systems, multi-modal reasoning, and next-generation agents.
  • Involve with the experimentation, model design, and evaluation for large-scale language, vision, and multimodal models.
  • Publish first-author or senior-author papers in top-tier venues (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, CVPR, EMNLP) and file patents to protect core innovations.
Strategic AI Direction
  • Shape the research roadmap in alignment with MiroMind's mission and business goals.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging AI technologies for potential adoption.
  • Translate research breakthroughs into scalable applications.
Collaboration & Mentorship
  • Mentor junior scientists and guide cross-functional AI research teams.
  • Establish partnerships with universities, research institutes, and industry leaders.
  • Internal AI knowledge-sharing sessions, workshops, and collaborations.
Required Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related field (or equivalent top-tier research experience).
  • Outstanding publication record with multiple first-author papers in top AI conferences/journals.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-impact AI models or systems to production scale.
  • Deep expertise in LLMs, LMMs, RAG, multimodal AI, reasoning models, and memory-augmented architectures.
  • Strong programming skills (Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow) and experience with distributed training at scale.
  • Exceptional communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry experience in deploying AI systems at scale in complex environments.
  • Experience with startups or research labs where innovation speed is critical.
  • Cross-disciplinary research experience in NLP, CV, reinforcement learning, and cognitive AI.
  • Multilingual abilities (English + Chinese preferred) for international collaboration.
