Summary:

Our client, a reputable private healthcare provider, is seeking a Radiographer to join their team. The successful candidate will provide a full range of diagnostic imaging services, with a focus on X-ray, Bone Mineral Densitometry (BMD), and Mammography. This role requires a commitment to high-quality imaging, patient care, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic imaging services, particularly X-ray, BMD, and Mammography, in accordance with hospital SOPs and quality standards.
  • Ensure proper patient identification, confirm consent, and observe radiation safety protocols.
  • Deliver high-quality diagnostic images with correct labeling and documentation.
  • Accurately input examination codes and ensure procedures align with clinical requests.
  • Communicate clearly with patients, explaining procedures and providing reassurance throughout the imaging process.
  • Prioritize patient safety, attending to both physical and emotional needs during and after procedures.
  • Minimize unnecessary radiation exposure to patients, staff, and the public.
  • Provide after-hours and on-call imaging services when required.
  • Perform regular quality assurance checks and basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment.
  • Support other imaging modalities (e.g., fluoroscopy or OT) as needed.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Radiology Manager.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Radiography from a recognized institution.
  • Fully registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) and holds a valid practicing certificate.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in diagnostic imaging, with hands-on expertise in X-ray, BMD, and Mammography.
  • Prior exposure to other modalities (e.g., CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy) is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience managing specific modality areas may qualify candidates for senior-level consideration.
  • Familiarity with PACSs is added advantages.
