The National University of Singapore invites applications for a MRI Radiographer position in the Clinical Imaging Research Centre, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. We are seeking an MRI radiographer who can perform stand-alone MRI scans independently, with the willingness to extend the expertise to PET/MRI scanning. In-house training will be provided for PET/MRI. The Clinical Imaging Research Centre (CIRC) offers MRI and molecular imaging facilities that includes hybrid-PET (Positron Emission Tomography) modalities of PET/CT and PET/ MRI for clinical research and clinical trials. Moreover, a state-of- the art Total Body PET/CT will be installed and online in Nov 2025. Appointments will be made on a 2-year contract basis in the first instance, with the intention of extension on a roll-over contract.

The mission of CIRC is to provide a shared state-of-the-art national resource for translational molecular imaging research, to foster collaborations between scientists and clinicians and to support the development of human capital. The expert radiographer plays a key role in our pursuit to being a leading centre for advanced clinical imaging research and to drive the development and translation of imaging biomarkers to clinical practice.

Objective of the role is to conduct PET imaging research studies using human volunteers and research subjects.

  1. MRI-trained Radiographer with at least a few years of MRI working experience, preferably with knowledge of basic cardiac scans.
  2. Possess sound knowledge of imaging technicalities and clinical anatomy to produce good quality diagnostic images.
  3. Responsible and meticulous to do daily quality checks (QC) on all equipment, to ensure QC records are properly kept and essential equipment is well-maintained.
  4. A team player in assisting day to day organization and management of PET projects.
  5. Has strong interests in research, keen to learn and to set up new scan protocols.
  6. Registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
  7. Training in PET-MR imaging will be provided for those without prior such experience.
  8. Candidates with relevant clinical experience may be considered for the senior position.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Radiography and must hold a valid registered license with Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) in Singapore.
  • MRI-trained Radiographer with at least a few years of MRI working experience, preferably with knowledge of basic cardiac scans.
  • Interest in extending the expertise to PET-MRI. Training will be provided to perform PET-MRI scans and the scans will be supported by an in-house NM technologist.
  • Interest and experience in research studies or clinical trials will be advantageous.
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
