
Senior Manager, Vendor Operational Efficiency

ABOUT YOUR ROLE:
This role combines project management skills with hands-on problem solving capabilities, focused on diagnosing cost drivers, designing tailored solutions, and driving implementation across complex environments. The Senior Manager of Vendor Operational Efficiency will work cross-functionally with supply chain, brand, and regional teams to lead & drive initiatives that improve factory overhead performance across VF's global vendor base.
The ideal candidate brings a unique blend of analytical rigor, operational expertise, and stakeholder influence to deliver measurable cost improvements while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and strong vendor partnerships.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Include but not limited to
- Execute global overhead optimization strategy. Execute a comprehensive strategy to reduce factory overhead costs across VF Corporation's global vendor base, aligning with corporate goals and operational priorities.
- Diagnose cost opportunities and translate insights into actionable opportunities. Accountable for identifying & quantifying drivers for additional cost drivers in vendor overheads paid by VF vs industry benchmarks.
- Identify & Isolate value pools in vendor overheads by utilizing detailed analysis of available data including CDW, vendor interviews and surveys, industry data and by reviewing VF business practices to build business case outlining potential changes in business practices required to unlock value, quantifying benefit for brands/regions in adopting change.
- Build and maintain a cost opportunity pipeline. Maintain a dynamic pipeline of cost-saving opportunities, categorized by impact, complexity, and readiness, to guide prioritization and resource allocation.
- Provide effective communications to Brand, Region and Supply Chain leadership teams, outline case for change & expected benefits from limited data sets available & vendor interviews and interactions.
- Build cross functional support across VF from functional heads & teams to Vendors and Partners on the ground etc for outline initiatives. In partnership with relevant heads of function, define & establish of new processes across product development, planning, buying, vendor relationship management that align with industry best practice and unlock value for VF
- Establish & lead Project Management Office for initiatives identified. Assemble & lead cross functional teams to influence business partners in changing processes & business practices to unlock value to VF & vendors and drive implementation against agreed timeframe
- Cover Global Vendor base and all VF brands/regions. Anticipated to drive $100M benefit over lifetime of project.
WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Generally ten to twelve years of progressive experience with five years of managerial experience
- Ideally Management Consulting or Finance background with proven project management skills in product manufacturing environments
- Strong organization, leadership and communication skills
Knowledge & Application
- Function manager with broad extensive knowledge of the theories and practices within a functional area and its interrelationship with other functional areas
- Direct the application of existing principles and guides development of new policies and ideas across the functional area
- Substantial expertise in practical issues of the disciplines to lead, integrate and direct work
- Advanced knowledge of a highly specialized field and some knowledge across related fields
- Lead the development of new functional policies

- Occasionally, issues are complex where fundamental principles do not clearly apply or where data appears to conflict
- Solutions need to be devised based on limited information requiring judgment to apply new solutions and concepts
- Implementation of solutions often requires a longer term view
