NIE isseeking a highly organised and visionary Manager of LearningInnovations to lead efforts in advancing evidence-based anddata-driven innovations in teaching and learning. The Manager willlead a team of specialists and work closely with cross-functionalteams to integrate emerging technologies, learning analytics, andinnovative pedagogical practices into NIE's teaching and learningecosystem.

The appointee will be responsible forsetting strategic goals for the team, managing resources, andfostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Thisincludes guiding faculty and teams to leverage learning analytics,designing personalised learning experiences, and ensuring alignmentwith institutional goals to improve academic outcomes. This is a2-year contractposition.

Responsibilities

StrategicLeadership
  • Provide clear strategicdirection for the team, establishing achievable goals and fosteringinnovation in data-driven teaching andlearning.
  • Manage team resources (e.g., tools,software, training) to support the integration of educationaltechnologies and learning analytics into faculty development andcourse design.
  • Oversee performance by assigningtasks strategically, offering expert guidance, and fostering skilldevelopment to ensure team alignment with institutionalgoals.
  • Communicate team achievements andproject outcomes related to innovations in teaching and learning tostakeholders and IN-Learning'smanagement.
  • Oversee team performance reviews,provide coaching, and create an environment that fosterscollaboration and opencommunication.
ChampionData-Driven Innovation in Teaching andLearning
  • Lead the development andintegration of evidence-based frameworks and learning analyticsdashboards to optimise teaching and learningexperiences.
  • Collaborate with specialistsacross NIE to analyse datasets, uncover insights, and informcontinuous improvements in teaching practices and learningenvironments.
  • Present data-driven findings andinnovative design solutions to faculty and project stakeholders toenhance pedagogical outcomes.
  • Facilitatefaculty development programs that equip educators with the skillsneeded to use learning analytics and educational technologyeffectively.
Planning andFacilitating Professional Development forFaculty
  • Spearhead the development andfacilitation of professional development programs that help facultyintegrate data analytics and emerging technology into their coursesto improve student outcomes.
  • Work withcross-departmental teams to develop strategies for engaging facultyin data-informed instructional design and personalised learningapproaches.
  • Collaborate with IN-Learning'sEngagement Planning and Research team to disseminate knowledge andfoster institute-wide improvements in data-driventeaching.
Research andStay Abreast of Best Practices
  • Stayinformed about emerging trends in educational technologies andlearning analytics on a local and global scale, ensuring that theteam remains at the forefront of data-driven teaching and learninginnovations.
  • Conduct research on pedagogicalinnovations for translation intopractice.
Lead SpecialProjects
  • Lead and participate inspecial projects to advance teaching and learning through dataanalytics and innovative educationaltechnologies.
  • Collaborate across teams todevelop and implement data-informed instructional strategies, usingteacher-facing and student-facing dashboards to provide real-timefeedback for continuous improvement in faculty performance andstudent learningoutcomes.
Requirements
  • AUniversity degree in Learning Sciences, Instructional Design,Educational Technology or a related field.
  • Aminimum of 3-5 years of experience in educational technology,learning analytics, or instructional design, with demonstratedleadership in integrating educational technologies into teachingpractices.
  • Proven experience managing ormentoring teams in an IHL environment.
  • Strongknowledge of emerging educational technologies, with the ability toincorporate data analytics into teaching andlearning.
  • Experience with data visualisationtools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) will be an advantage, particularlyin creating interactive dashboards for faculty andstudents.
  • Experience in data analysis touncover themes and trends and the ability to interpretteacher-facing and student-facing learning analytics to supportdata-driven decision-making.
  • Strong projectmanagement skills, with the ability to manage multiple projectssimultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Experiencedelivering training programs that support faculty leveraginglearning analytics and using emerging educational toolseffectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written,and verbal communication skills, with the ability to presentcomplex data in a clear and actionable manner for diversestakeholders, including faculty andleadership.
