What You Will Do

As a Refrigeration & Maintenance Executive or Assistant Refrigeration & Maintenance Manager, you'll be the go-to expert for all things refrigeration, ensuring smooth and efficient operations across our supermarket locations. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial refrigeration systems.
• Troubleshooting issues and performing corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Implementing preventive maintenance programs for long-term system health.
• Monitoring temperatures to ensure food safety standards are met.
• Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Optimizing systems for energy efficiency and sustainability.
• Responding to refrigeration emergencies to minimize business disruptions.
• Managing parts inventory and coordinating with vendors for complex repairs.
• Training staff in basic system handling and troubleshooting.
• Maintaining documentation on maintenance, performance, and compliance.
• Leading the maintenance team and creating a fault-reporting framework.
• Driving initiatives to reduce maintenance costs.
• Performing ad-hoc duties as required.

Who We Are Looking For

We're seeking a technically skilled, solution-driven professional with a strong passion for refrigeration systems. Ideal candidates will have:

• A technical diploma or certification in Refrigeration, HVAC, Mechanical, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in commercial refrigeration, ideally within supermarket, retail, or foodservice environments.
• Deep knowledge of refrigeration components (compressors, evaporators, condensers, etc.).
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and a strong safety mindset.
• Experience with refrigerants and understanding of environmental regulations.
• Physical stamina to work in cold environments and handle heavy equipment.
• Willingness to travel between locations and work flexible hours when needed.
• Team spirit and the ability to lead and train others.
