Job Description

The Sales & Marketing Merchandiser is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective merchandising strategies to drive product visibility, sales growth, and brand recognition. This role combines sales activities with marketing initiatives to ensure optimal product placement, promotional execution, and market competitiveness. The Merchandiser will collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to achieve sales targets while upholding brand standards and enhancing customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute merchandising strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to implement promotional campaigns and product launches.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Arrange product displays to enhance visibility and customer engagement.
  • Visit retail outlets, showrooms, or trade fairs to monitor display standards and gather market feedback.
  • Negotiate with clients or store managers for premium shelf space and promotional placement.
  • Prepare sales and marketing reports for management review.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, distributors, and suppliers.
Job Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in merchandising, sales, or marketing (preferably in retail, FMCG, or wholesale).
  • Strong knowledge of merchandising principles, market trends, and customer behavior.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and market information to drive decision-making.
  • Creative eye for product presentation and brand image.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours when required.
