Company Description

Cogent Holdings Pte Ltd is a subsidiary of Cosco Shipping International (Singapore) Co., Ltd and has a wide range of clientele ranging from local SMEs to multinational companies. Cogent owns one of Singapore's largest one-stop integrated logistics hub, Cogent 1.Logistics Hub. Its subsidiary SH Cogent Logistics Pte Ltd offers warehouse and transportation services in Singapore.

Role Description

We are looking for an Operations Executive in SH Cogent Logistics Pte Ltd, specializing in transportation. The Operations Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations related to transportation on-site in Singapore.

Responsibilities & Duties

1. Plan & manage to ensure all customers' trucking activities are fulfilled.

2. Resolve any safety-related issue or recovery including but not limited to:

  • Vehicle Parking issue
  • Driver Safety Violation Issue
  • Accident Recovery

3. Plan & manage the deployment of a team of Traffic Controller. Discuss the improvement with the superior if necessary.

4. Plan & manage the duty roster of the Traffic Controller weekly or at any appropriate time period.

5. Arrange for duty take over when the Traffic Controller is on leave. To back up if necessary.

6. Monitor the performance of a team of Traffic Controller and ensure jobs under their scope are dutifully completed. (IOU/Trip incentive/TBM/etc.)

  • Ensure the Traffic Controllers provide real-time update of job progress into the system.
  • Ensure the Traffic Controllers carry out toolbox meeting.

7. Responsible for various report submissions on time.

8. Plan, request and track the progress of container reuse.

Requirements

  • Diploma qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Experience in transportation operations in the logistics industry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Leadership experience and the ability to manage a team.

  • Working hours: Mon to Fri: 8.30am - 5.45pm; Alternate Sat: 8.30am - 12.30pm
