Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a Network Services Project & Operations Manager to lead both day-to-day network operations and the delivery of key network infrastructure projects within public agencies. This role ensures that critical network services—spanning LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and internet connectivity—are secure, reliable, and optimised for performance.

  • Working Hours: Mon-Fri
  • Working Location: Central
  • Job Type: Contract
  • Salary Package: Up to $8800 (basic) + AWS

You will:

  • Manage end-to-end network operations, ensuring high availability, minimal downtime, and compliance with security and operational standards.
  • Lead network infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new deployments, from planning through to implementation and handover.
  • Oversee vendor and service provider performance, ensuring SLAs are met and value is delivered.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (Security, Infrastructure, Applications, End User Services) to ensure seamless connectivity and service delivery.
  • Monitor and analyse network performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Manage capacity planning, lifecycle management, and technology refresh cycles for network equipment.
  • Maintain documentation of network architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in ITIL-based processes for incident, problem, and change management.
  • Report on network service performance, risks, and improvement initiatives to stakeholders.

[What we are looking for]

  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in network operations and/or network infrastructure project management.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise networking technologies (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls, routing, switching).
  • Experience managing network vendors and service contracts.
  • Familiarity with network security best practices and tools.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCNA, ITIL, PMP) are an advantage.
