Position: Educators passionate about chess and Storytelling

Are you a university student, actor, social worker, educator, or storyteller with a passion for empowering young minds? Do you have a knack for creative storytelling and a desire to make a positive impact on education? We're excited to hear from you

About Us:

Chess at Three is a US/New York-based education company that has recently expanded to Singapore. We offer an innovative educational program that combine storytelling, chess, and creative play to foster critical thinking, creativity, and social skills in children aged 3 to 12 years.

Our Programs:

  • Chess at Three: Introduces chess to children aged 3 to 12 through engaging stories and games.
  • Birchguard Quest: A speech and drama program that develops creativity, collaboration, and leadership skills.

The Opportunity:

We're seeking enthusiastic educators to teach our programs at various international schools, private members' clubs, kindergartens across Singapore as well as our own Chess Clubs at United Square and Bukit Timah Plaza.

You'll work with small groups of children aged 3-12, using our award-winning curriculum. While chess experience is helpful, it's not required - we'll provide comprehensive training and pair you with an experienced tutor.

We will advise on the list of available tutoring positions, including:

  • West: Perse School, Dulwich College, Canadian International School, Bukit Timah Plaza
  • East: Singapore Swimming Club, Joo Chiat Community Club, Tampines Community Complex
  • Central: Brighton College, American Club
  • Various Etonhouse and other kindergarten locations

Amongst other schools and venues.

Requirements:

  • Interest/ passion for Chess
  • Passion for education and storytelling
  • Experience in social work, education, acting, or a related field
  • Fun, animated, and great with children
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Thorough background check required
