We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Accounting and Tax to join our client's growing team. This leadership position is critical in managing a portfolio of clients across diverse industries, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring timely, accurate delivery of high-quality accounting and tax services.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team ofaccountants, overseeing a broad client base across various industries
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory obligations, including accurate and timely tax filings (corporate tax, GST, employer tax) with relevant authorities.
  • Provide technical tax guidance to both clients and internal teams on matters such as tax planning, structuring, IRAS queries, and regulatory updates.
  • Oversee full accounting operations including bookkeeping, month-end closings, audits, and annual financial reporting.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and assist with cash flow forecasting to maintain financial stability.
  • Manage payroll operations and support clients with budgeting and cost analysis.
  • Prepare and file corporate tax, employer tax, and GST returns.
  • Review and mentor the work of junior colleagues, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in accounting, with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in full-spectrum accounting and tax compliance.
  • Professional accounting qualifications such as CPA or ACCA are highly desirable.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Singapore tax regulations, including corporate tax, GST, and employer tax. Experience responding to IRAS queries or tax audits is a distinct advantage.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as XERO, MYOB, SAP, or Payday, along with advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to manage confidential information with professionalism.
  • Prior experience mentoring and managing a team is essential.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
