The role: Head of Infrastructure

The Head Infrastructure will lead the design, implementation, and management of the company's infrastructure strategies, with a strong focus on AWS-based solutions and high-volume transaction systems. This role requires a deep understanding of the intersection between infrastructure, security, and software development. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud architectures, cybersecurity and DevOps practices ensuring the company's IT environment is scalable, secure, and resilient.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure & Cloud Management:

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure solutions using AWS.
• Oversee IT systems' full lifecycle, from technical architecture and infrastructure engineering to operations and support.
• Manage and optimize database infrastructure, ensuring performance, availability, and security.
• Implement monitoring tools and best practices to track system health, transactions, and performance trends.
• Lead incident response efforts to quickly address infrastructure and security incidents.

DevOps & Security Integration:

• Work closely with software development teams to integrate infrastructure, DevOps, and security best practices into the development lifecycle.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation tools to improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore's information security regulations and international security standards.
• Strong expertise in designing cybersecurity infrastructure, including Security Operations Centers (SOC) and risk management strategies.

IT Business Processes & Vendor Management:

• Develop IT business processes within the company and with partners/clients.
• Manage relationships with infrastructure and cybersecurity vendors, ensuring optimal solutions and services.
• Ensure cost optimization while maintaining high system performance and security.

Leadership & Strategy:

• Mentor and lead a team of infrastructure professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Track infrastructure issues and performance metrics to identify trends and systemic improvements.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, cybersecurity threats, and industry best practices.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or Business Management.
• Professional certifications (ITIL, COBIT, PRINCE2, AWS, DevOps, Security certifications).
• 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Proven track record of executing IT projects in the banking sector.
• Hands-on experience managing high-load systems and cloud architectures.
• Expertise in cybersecurity and the development of company-wide security policies.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure architecture, risk management, and compliance.
• Experience integrating with government systems and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Team leadership and management experience with a results-driven mindset.
• Hands-on approach, especially in the initial stages of project deployment.
• Experience with AI Tools for Infrastructure Management, leveraging AI-powered tools for AIOps, predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and automated incident response.
