Job Summary

The Nurse Educator is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the continuing education, training, and professional development of nursing staff. This role adopts evidence-based approaches to design, deliver, and review nursing education programs, ensuring the development of competent, skilled, and patient-focused nurses. The Nurse Educator also oversees programs for student nurses, supporting them in acquiring the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to practice nursing effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and identify the learning needs of nursing staff.
  • Develop, organize, implement, and evaluate nursing education and training programs based on evidence-based practices.
  • Facilitate orientation, continuing education, and competency-based training for nursing staff.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to student nurses during clinical attachments.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders to ensure alignment of training programs with organizational goals and patient care standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives, recommending improvements as needed.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Serve as a role model in clinical practice, professional conduct, and patient-centered care.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board.
  • Degree in Nursing.
  • Post-Graduate Diploma in Education.
  • 9–11 years of clinical nursing experience, including a minimum of 2 years teaching in a healthcare or nursing academic setting.
  • Passionate and dedicated to nursing education and teaching.
  • Proactive, motivated, and able to inspire learners.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Results-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
