Green Link Digital Bank is Singapore's inaugural wholesale digital bank focusing on supply chain finance, mainly serving MSMEs and aiming to help MSMEs grow and improve digitization.

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our lean IT team and drive our platform engineering initiatives with a focus on self-service, workflow integration, control enforcement, product mindset, and business-aligned outcomes to grow our business.

About the Role

As a Platform Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain our hybrid cloud platform to support secure, reliable, and efficient application development and operations. You'll collaborate with developers, security teams, and other stakeholders in a small-team environment where your contributions directly impact operational resilience and growth. This role will report to the Head of Platform & DevSecOps.

Responsibilities

• Platform Design and Implementation: Architect and deploy hybrid cloud infrastructure using IaC tools to provision and manage resources across on-premises and cloud environments. Ensure seamless integration for workloads involving sensitive financial data, applying design thinking to create intuitive and efficient platform solutions.
• Hybrid Cloud Management: Optimize resource allocation between on-premises and cloud services, focusing on auto provisioning, cost management, data sovereignty, and disaster recovery strategies, ensuring alignment with business and user priorities.
• SRE Solutioning: Design and implement Site Reliability Engineering solutions like observability, alerting, and auto-recovery mechanisms to achieve high availability for critical banking systems.
• Security Integration: Embed robust security measures and standards to protect infrastructure and applications. Automate security scans, enforce compliance policies, and manage access controls to safeguard against vulnerabilities and ensure regulatory adherence. Perform regular audits and threat modeling to maintain user trust.
• Automation and CI/CD Pipelines: Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments, testing, and monitoring, incorporating DevSecOps practices such as automated security scans and compliance checks, with a focus on delivering value to end-users.
• Troubleshooting and Optimization: Proactively identify and resolve platform issues, optimize performance, and scale infrastructure to support business growth while minimizing operational toil, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Infrastructure Technology Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate technology risks in the platform, ensuring alignment with regulatory frameworks such as MAS TRMG in Singapore.
• Documentation and Compliance: Maintain comprehensive documentation of platform architectures, processes, and configurations. Ensure all activities align with banking regulatory requirements, including TRMG and internal policies.
• Product Mindset and Design Thinking: Approach platform engineering as a product, prioritizing user needs (developers, business teams, and end-users) and iterative improvements. Apply design thinking principles to empathize with users, define requirements, ideate solutions, prototype, and test platform features for usability and impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Relevant certifications in cloud, container (Kubernetes, Docker), CISSP, DevSecOps related are preferred
• 8 years of experience in platform engineering related roles like DevSecOps, SRE, cloud and infra engineering with hands-on experience in hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of security best practices, reliability engineering, automation and compliance tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Able to multi-task and prioritize in a high-pressure environment.
• Ability to get results through collaboration and partnership with diverse teams.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
