The overall goal of this project is to use a multi-omics approach, combined with gut microbiome studies and multi-modal characterization of neurobiology of stress response and resilience to stressors in fish. The aim will be to integrate technology to develop the knowledge base for understanding stress resilience behaviours in Asian Seabass in farm conditions using laboratory model zebrafish and controlled lab studies on early-stage Seabass. The candidate will work with a dynamic team spanning basic biologists, neuroscientists, bioinformaticians, and aquaculture specialists to develop novel multi-omics data integration strategies with significant impact.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise research projects in fish "omics" analyses, behavioral analytics, stress resilience studies.

• Plan and execute experiments; analyse and interpret research findings and large-scale biological data (e.g., genomic, transcriptomic, microbiome) and familiarity with following analyses – sc transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics.

• Guide junior researchers and team members through training, and oversee the achievement of project KPIs and research deliverables.

• Publish high-impact research articles aligned with project or grant objectives.
