Roles & Responsibilities

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Design Director to lead multidisciplinary design initiatives from concept through execution. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong creative sensibility, team leadership skills, and the ability to guide high-quality design outcomes across a variety of projects.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on levels, driving design excellence while inspiring teams and clients alike.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the creative direction of projects across multiple disciplines (brand, spatial, digital, etc.)
  • Collaborate with strategy, business, and technical teams to define and deliver holistic design solutions.
  • Ensure design quality and consistency across all project touchpoints.
  • Guide and mentor designers, fostering a culture of growth, learning, and creative excellence.
  • Present work confidently to internal teams and clients, articulating the rationale and business impact.
  • Support business development through pitch contributions, project scoping, and thought leadership.
  • Maintain an awareness of industry trends, technologies, and best practices to keep the studio at the forefront of design innovation.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional design experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams through complex design challenges.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating breadth and depth across disciplines.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and managing client relationships.
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work well across functions and cultures.
