ABOUT WORLD TABLE TENNIS

The creation of World Table Tennis (WTT) is set to revolutionise the way table tennis is viewed and commercialised across the globe. With significant external investment and commitment to long term partnership, WTT is much more than a vehicle to house current rights. As the dedicated commercial rights entity, for the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), WTT has the ambition and ability to create new assets and events, capitalising on the unrivalled potential of the sport. The clear aim is to build WTT into a revenue generation powerhouse, ploughing profits back into Table Tennis to continually develop and transform the sport.

Taking a new, innovative and entrepreneurial approach to how table tennis should manage its competition platform and positioning, WTT has been tasked with re-imagining a new professional event structure, re-energising the entertainment and fan experience, and re-defining the new era. With 300 million players and over 500 million fans, the potential of the sport of table tennis is waiting to be unleashed.

WTT MEDIA RIGHTS COORDINATOR

As Media Rights Coordinator at WTT, you will play a key role in supporting the Director of Broadcast in the management, execution, and optimisation of global media rights strategies. Your responsibilities will span across rights management, partner servicing, content delivery, and internal coordination to ensure the successful distribution and monetisation of WTT's broadcast assets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Partner Servicing & Coordination

  • Act as a liaison between WTT and broadcast partners to ensure timely delivery of content and fulfilment of contractual deliverables
  • Coordinate with internal teams (production, marketing, and legal) to support partner needs and resolve issues

Reporting & Analysis

  • Track and compile broadcast performance data, including viewership, reach, and compliance with rights usage
  • Support the preparation of post-event reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders

Content Delivery & Scheduling

  • Oversee the distribution of live and non-live content to rights-holding broadcasters via WTT's media delivery platforms
  • Manage broadcast schedules and ensure alignment with partner requirements and event timelines

Rights Management & Documentation

  • Maintain and update the media rights database, tracking all contractual obligations, territories, platforms, and rights windows
  • Assist in the preparation and review of media rights agreements and licensing documentation

Operational Support

  • Assist in the planning and execution of broadcast operations during WTT events, including accreditation, logistics, and on-site coordination
  • Support the Director of Broadcast in strategic planning, partner negotiations, and rights sales initiatives
REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

  • Tertiary education in Media, Communications, Sports Management, or Marketing
  • 2 – 4 years of relevant experience in sports broadcasting, media rights coordination, or event-based media operations
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills for managing contractual obligations and partner deliverables
  • Ability to liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders across internal teams (production, marketing, legal) and external partners
  • Working knowledge of media rights principles and the sports broadcast landscape
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for tracking data and PowerPoint for presentations
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Flexibility to work during live event schedules, including evenings, weekends, and occasional travel

Desirable:

  • Passion for sports and media content, with an interest in table tennis or other international sports
  • Familiarity with sports marketing campaigns that complement broadcast partnerships
  • Experience working with media rights agencies (e.g., IMG, Infront) or broadcasters
  • Knowledge of media delivery systems (e.g., Imagen, Signiant) and basic broadcast workflows
  • Exposure to rights documentation processes and contract administration
  • Additional language skills (e.g., Mandarin, Spanish, French) to support international partner communication
  • Awareness of OTT platforms and emerging trends in sports content distribution
