Roles & Responsibilities

Summary

We are seeking a sales person with strong knowledge in logistics services. The hiring company is an international logistics consulting firm headquartered in USA. This position is based at their office located in Bonavista area (West), Singapore.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and when necessaryestablish multi-modal freight rates / volume / savings database completeness and accuracy.
  • Assistin the development of new or improved database, web applications and decision support tool for transportation sourcing related activities (e.g., special cargo handling requirements).
  • Coordinate and support various freight negotiations sessions based on a GSA planning cycle.
  • Assistin the management of freight contracts, coordinating closely with regional Corporate GSA function to maintaintimelyand accurateversions.
  • Liaise with suppliers on service requirements; periodic activity report/claims report submissions and internal queries.
  • Using 6 sigma methodologies, perform data analysis, variance analysis and prepare pre- / post-negotiation reports and customs projects.
  • Conduct benchmarking exercise on industry and best practices.
  • Support in rationalizing of suppliers (Freight Forwarders / Carriers) and carry out performance reviews on suppliers to meet expected standards.
Requirements
  • Good Degree in IT / Business or related disciplines.
  • Knowledge of and experience inPC applications is essential (MS Access - preferred, MS Excel - advanced, a must) MS Package, MS Project, MS FrontPage,and Visio) .
  • Singaporean and SPR.
  • Excellent and demonstratedanalytical, problem-solving, negotiation, writing, interpersonal and communication skills are important to the success of this position.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Self-starter, creative, exhibitsownership, initiative,and able to work as a team.
  • Highly motivated with demonstratedgrowth potential, be willing to stretch and results oriented.
