Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for strategic trading, business development, and market expansion in the chemicals sector across APAC and Europe.
  • Lead tactical buying and selling of oleochemicals, allied and specialty chemicals, and personal care ingredients (e.g., soap noodles, cosmetic additives).
  • Develop and manage key customer and supplier relationships across regions.
  • Drive business development initiatives and contribute to P&L growth.
  • Provide market forecasts and insights on raw materials, new products, and pricing trends to advise clients.
  • Collaborate with and guide the logistics team on trading shipments.
  • Represent the company through travel and networking for commercial expansion.

Requirements

  • Minimum Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
  • 10–12 years of chemical trading experience, in oleochemicals and personal care ingredients.
  • Strong network of suppliers and customers within the industry.
  • Solid product knowledge with a strategic business mindset.
  • Able to work independently and effectively in a small team environment.
  • Willing to travel regionally for business development.
  • Technical product knowledge is a strong advantage.
