IFA's producers operate in multiple regions, on multiple projects. The unifying factor across all our content is that we aim for every show to make an impact. Our clients are many; Tencent, National Geographic, Netflix, HBO Max and WBD are just a few we work with. The role of the IFA Producer is to oversee the development and production of scripted content on behalf of the company, and is a position with both creative and PMD responsibilities. The role requires fluent written/spoken English, working level written/spoken Chinese is an advantage.
● You will work across all aspects of scripted and immersive development, from development of scripts, character bibles and series synopses to delivery of pilots.
● You will liaise with the various IFA offices, providing creative input and insight to ensure the suitability of potential projects for IFA at a local, regional and international level.
● Prior to a project being green lit; you will play a crucial role in defining the format and content of each commission.
● You will be across market events, and up to date on all aspects of the scripted/immersive business. You will make plans on projects to take to market and provide the IFA partners a model of execution for each market, as well as constantly searching for new talent.
● You will need to understand, and maintain contact with regional grant bodies and government agencies and investors – to allow you to help find funding solutions for projects.
● You will be responsible for the overall quality control of all scripted/immersive productions, to include any final decision making on any aspect of development sizzle or pilot production issues on behalf of IFA, you must ensure that the work carried out by IFA is completed on time, within budget and to agreed artistic and technical standards.
● You will work on a number of projects simultaneously as required, hiring and managing a number of suppliers and ensuring that the IFA reputation is maintained throughout.
● Create project budgets and schedules at the development stage, create project budgets and schedules at the green light stage.
● Oversee general contracting and licensing procedures.
● Assign Company's budgets to relevant Company/line Company/PM on each project.
● Oversee production teams' management of approved budgets during production.
● Visit to sets to review production as required.
● Liaise with clients to ensure milestones are being met during production/delivery.
● Approve/deny potential overages on any project in production.
● Delivery of all development project deliverables: from treatments to full pilots.
● Delivery of all green-lit project deliverables: rough cuts, fine cuts, scripts and final masters to Network EP at assigned times.
● Best practice in communication with clients as the IFA lead on a development project.
● Best practice in hiring of crews, creative teams, animation artists, composers, editors, post houses, archive sources, voice talent and on screen talent as required for development and production.
