Main purpose of the role:

Our client is seeking a skilled consultant for a secondment focused on the internalisation of a REIT manager for a Singapore Exchange (SGX) listed, Singapore domiciled Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT). The successful candidate will serve as the primary legal support for this project, working closely with a core project team.

• Provide comprehensive legal advice and support on matters related to the internalisation of the REIT manager.
• Prepare and review SGX public announcements and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Handle commercial and legal matters pertinent to the project, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Collaborate effectively with the project team and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Attend meetings and provide on-site legal support as required.
  
  

Person specification:

• Singapore qualified lawyer with minimum 6 years PQE.
• Prior legal experience in Singapore REITs, either in-house or in private practice. International REIT experience may also be considered.
• Experience in handling complex legal projects and transactions.
• Familiarity with the Singapore legal and regulatory landscape, particularly in relation to REITs.
• Demonstrated ability to provide strategic legal advice and support to senior management.
