Legal Counsel

The HTX Group is seeking to hire a Legal Counsel / Senior Legal Counsel to join its International Legal Department. You will be part of a multi-jurisdictional team responsible for providing legal advice and guidance for the HTX Group. Reporting to the head of the International Legal Department, you are expected to have the experience to work independently on projects and in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders across varied business lines.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal support to business teams through out the entire product lifecycle from innovation of products and services to ongoing support.
- Work in close collaboration with the Compliance team to address global legal and regulatory requirements relating to digital asset services.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, providing legal risk assessments and recommendations to mitigate risk exposure while supporting business goals.
- Advise on a broad range of legal matters including financial regulations, intellectual property, data protection and privacy, corporate and commercial law, employment and labor laws, across various jurisdictions and legal entities.
- Proactively monitor legal and regulatory developments within the industry; provide timely strategic guidance to relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the Group's legal and compliance strategy, including ongoing assessment of legal risks across the Group.
- Manage engagements of external counsel to ensure Group interestsare well represented.
- Other ad-hoc tasks and projects assigned from time to time.
Preferred Experience and Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with an LLB, JD, or equivalent law degree; admitted and in good standing to practice law in a leading common law jurisdiction.
- 5-7 years' experience at a reputable international or local law firm, or in a relevant in-house legal role.
