Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary

The role involves managing and monitoring transactional collateral for Commodity and Structured Finance deals. The position ensures that transactions remain within the required credit and collateral thresholds, while assisting in reporting, system enhancements, and risk monitoring. The candidate will support the middle office operations, maintain data accuracy in monitoring systems, and liaise with stakeholders to ensure compliance with risk and credit policies.

Mandatory Skill-set

  • 5–12 years of experience in Commodity Trade Finance (Middle Office or Front Office) and Commodity Trading Houses;
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese (mandatory for communicating with Chinese-speaking clients);
  • Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset;
  • Knowledge of UCP600, ISBP745, URC525, Incoterms 2021;
  • Commodity Finance structures such as Warehouse Financing, Storage Tank Financing, Borrowing Base, and Revolving Credit;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint;
  • Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, or related field.

Desired Skill-set

  • Experience in Structured Trade Finance operations;
  • Monitoring and reporting on Loan-to-Value (LTV) ratios;
  • Mark-to-Market (MTM) valuations;
  • Exposure to ST Connect system (or similar systems), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Business Continuity Planning (BCP);
  • Risk awareness and ability to identify potential default indicators;
  • Capability to perform price checks and collateral assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and monitor collateral for Commodity/Structured Finance transactions;
  • Perform Mark-to-Market (MTM) valuations and manage under-collateralisation by initiating top-ups;
  • Monitor Loan-to-Value (LTV) ratios and perform margin calls as required;
  • Maintain and update transaction data in ST Connect for exposure and limit tracking;
  • Escalate potential asset risks or repayment concerns to Relationship and Credit Risk Managers;
  • Perform price validation and market checks;
  • Act as a secondary backup for Account Officers on assigned portfolios;
  • Generate reports for the Head of Structured Trade Middle Office;
  • Participate in UAT and system enhancement implementations;
  • Conduct system connectivity tests and support BCP procedures;
  • Handle records archiving and general administrative duties as assigned.
