About the Job

The Systems & Integration (S&I) group creates and assembles leading large, automated inspection solutions for various industry segments (e.g. Aerospace, Defence and Oil & Gas).

This role will closely collaborate with the local S&I engineering team and to develop preliminary custom inspection concepts and actively contribute to developing the S&I robotics R&D roadmap APAC and accompanying software infrastructure.

The role might also participate to global development projects and is a contributor towards the achievement of the technical capabilities of the System and Integration team in line with group goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate actively to global projects to deliver inspection solutions or custom software components.
• Evaluate the desired outcome and interpretate into a detailed plan that can be implemented by project team.
• Monitor and report progress the project on a regular basis.
• Develop high-quality robotics solutions and user-friendly software to meet end users' requirements.
• Assist to continuously improve the S&I Global or APAC processes.
• Assist to create a long-term vision and technology roadmap to address future automated inspection needs.
• Assist to build and manage a knowledge base (e.g. Wiki) for the S&I group.

Formal Qualifications

• Min Degree in Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.

Key Skills / Core Competencies

• Knowledge of programming robotic hardware, automation systems
• Proficiency with computer programming languages used to operate industrial manufacturing equipment.  Excellent programming and software development skills in a range of programming languages including Python, C++, C #, and LabVIEW.
• Deep Expertise in Robotics, sensor and software integration
• Knowledge of NDT or other analytical scientific equipment is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Logical troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to function well both in a group, and as an individual contributor.
• A strong commitment to teamwork.
• Keen eye for new developments in the industry, and the ability to visualize problems and effectively communicate complex tasks.
