Roles & Responsibilities

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of IT Risk to lead the Bank's technology risk function. This role is responsible for overseeing the identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of all IT and cyber-related risks.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the execution of the Bank's IT Risk Management Framework, ensuring alignment with enterprise risk management, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT).
  • Identify, assess, and manage key IT risks, including those related to cybersecurity, cloud computing, data privacy, third-party technology vendors, and business continuity.
  • Collaborate with IT, Information Security, Operations, and Compliance teams to embed IT risk awareness and controls across the organization.
  • Lead risk assessments, including new technology initiatives, infrastructure changes, software deployments, and digital transformation projects.
  • Monitor and report IT risk exposures and key risk indicators (KRIs) to senior management, risk committees, and the board.
  • Review and challenge IT controls, architecture decisions, and security practices from a risk perspective.

You must:

  • A bachelors degree in a reputable university
  • 10 years of experience in an IT Governance role, ideally with leadership experience from the Banking space
  • Strong understanding of Banking Operations, Digital Platform, Cybersecurity framework
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
