We're a growing modern Japanese dining brand, known for balancing traditional flavors with contemporary touches. To support our expansion, we're looking for a Kitchen Supervisor someone experienced, dependable, and eager to grow into a Sous Chef role.
This is an opportunity for a kitchen professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading a team, and takes pride in delivering consistent quality.
What You'll Do- Prepare and serve core Japanese dishes (donburi, sashimi, grilled items) with accuracy and consistency
- Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations and lead the team during service when required
- Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure smooth coordination across stations
- Maintain strict hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards at all times
- Ensure plating and presentation meet brand expectations
- At least 2 years' professional kitchen experience (Japanese cuisine is an advantage)
- Confident with essential kitchen tools and techniques
- Reliable under pressure, with a calm and supportive team approach
- Willing to work weekends and public holidays as part of the roster
- Ambitious to take on more responsibility and grow within the kitchen
- Salary: $2,700 – $3,200 per month (depending on experience)
- Flexible schedule: choice of 5 or 6 working days per week
