Senior/Principal Engineer, IT (Technical Solutions)

Summary

We are searching for a self-driven and highly motivated Middleware Developer You will be part of the IT Middleware development team and will provide support to Scoot's middleware. You will work closely with stakeholders such as the Ground Ops team to deliver, enhance, and maintain API services for applications.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, design, analyze, and enhance Scoot's Operations Middleware or Centralized Middleware.
  • Provide technical support for middleware systems.
  • Gather, analyze, and utilize data to devise solutions, design systems, and implement processes.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and investigations to resolve incidents.
  • Coordinate with other departments for system integration and data communication.
  • Recommend methods and technologies to improve project efficiency.
  • Document and maintain IT business processes and procedures.
  • Follow SDLC or Agile methodologies.
  • Implement high-quality changes adhering to development standards.
  • Collaborate with QA and Product Owners for testing and review.
  • Adhere to coding standards for security and performance.
  • Provide accurate estimates and documentation for work done.
  • Write comprehensive unit tests.
  • Assist peers with analysis and design.
  • Meet SLA response times and KPIs.
  • Use Agile practices for timely delivery.
Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science/IT or related diploma with relevant experience.
  • Minimum 2 years as a Middleware Developer.
  • Minimum 2 years developing and maintaining APIs.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong fundamentals in application/software development.
  • Proficiency in C# .NET and .NET Core.
  • Understanding of computer science fundamentals.
  • Experience with SQL databases.
  • Experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, SNS, SQS, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway).
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Airline industry knowledge is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Navitaire NewSkies is an advantage.
