Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • To manage day-to-day maintenance activities at Gali Batu depot to fully utlise available resources to meet maintenance and operations requirements
  • Co-ordinate all Train activities for staff and contractors working in the depot base on train availability
  • Organize the train maintenance activities in the most efficient way to prevent conflict between parties involved
  • Always provide sufficient trains for mainline services to meet Operation requirement at all times
  • Ensure all trains are cleared and "fit for service" before handover the trains to Operations
  • Prioritise work activities to best meet the needs of operating railway
  • Organise work safely to avoid conflicting maintenance activities
  • Delegate Job to CM team involving in rolling stock maintenance activities
  • Act as an Incident Officer in the depot during incident/accident till the arrival of AEIC/EIC
  • Render 1st Aid to staff till the arrival of ambulance
  • Managing the planned TAR or Urgent TAR in depot
  • Act as PC (Depot) for RS Train driver to rescue stalled train in depot

Requirements

  • Polytechnic diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent
  • Good analytical and fault-finding skills
  • Knowledge in electrical/electronic/pneumatic and air conditioning systems
  • Possess strong commitment and strong sense of responsibility to area of work under his/her charge
  • Have initiative and possess positive working attitude
  • Capable of making fast and sound decision when working under pressure
  • Demonstrates strong leadership qualities and is capable of working well in a team
  • Able to work well independently and achieve challenging targets with minimal supervision
  • Able to work on 3 rotating shifts
  • Able to identify colours
