As they continue expanding their operational/enterprise risk functions, we seek experienced professionals passionate about risk management and adept at navigating complex risk landscapes.
The Opportunity
This position offers an outstanding career path for risk management professionals specialising in third-party and outsourcing risk. As a key member of the enterprise risk team, you'll contribute significantly to protecting and enhancing our client's third-party risk framework and oversight across diverse global operations.
We're looking for an experienced individual with expertise in enterprise risk, particularly in managing vendor and third-party risks. The role involves working closely with multiple departments to ensure thorough risk assessment and control processes, providing critical insights and acting as a steward of best practices in third-party risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices, offering expert guidance on third-party risk management across regions where the organisation operates.
- Act as the gatekeeper of the Vendor-Managed Services Policy, ensuring alignment and compliance across the organisation.
- Support the Outsourcing Committee, including secretariat functions, and assist engagement owners in assessing risk levels for vendor engagements.
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence on vendors, including assessing performance, operational controls, and security protocols.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders on resolving issues identified during due diligence or audits.
- Lead independent reviews to ensure adherence to vendor management policies, including monthly key risk indicator reporting.
- Support broader enterprise risk management functions, such as risk assessments, root cause analysis of incidents, and process improvement initiatives.
- Conduct regular training sessions to elevate risk awareness within the organisation.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a solid background in third-party vendor and outsourcing risk management within financial institutions.
- Deep understanding of regulatory requirements, such as MAS guidelines on Outsourcing, Technology Risk, and Business Continuity, as well as industry standards on cybersecurity and data protection.
- Strong communication skills, with a proven ability to coordinate across multiple teams and deliver concise, actionable insights.
- An analytical mindset with the ability to make sound judgments, backed by data, in a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled in building relationships and managing stakeholder expectations effectively.
- A dependable team player who demonstrates resilience and commitment under pressure, while able to work independently.
