Roles & Responsibilities

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assembly, fitting, basic tool room machining, mould development, implementing process improvements for tool manufacturing and liaise with machining technician for process planning and scheduling of project
  • Discuss tooling drawing with Designer to ensure tooling design is meeting customer product requirement
  • Assemble, fitting and troubleshooting of tooling related issue
  • Fabricate tooling components and inserts according to tooling drawing
  • Liaise with Production Technician for execution/planning on mold testing
  • Ensure tool manufacturing and trial meeting planned schedule
  • Initiate corrective action if first article or parts not meeting specification
  • Ensure tool room facilities and equipment are properly maintained and used
  • Ensure tool room health and safety precautions are taken care at all times
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement Project
  • Any other ad hoc jobs assigned by Manager/Supervisor

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mold manufacturing tool room environment
  • ITC or Nitec certificate in Tool & Die Trade
  • Able to speak simple English
  • Independent, self-motivated and willing to take challenge
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Travel to Batam may be required
