What you will be doing:

We are seeking a skilled UI/UX Lead Designer with hands-on experience to drive the design strategy for web portals while providing consultancy for mobile design within our Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) product. This role emphasizes crafting intuitive and accessible digital experiences for web platforms while aligning mobile designs with the principles of our UI-less SDK.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute user experience strategies tailored to web portals, aligning with organizational goals and user needs.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gain insights and validate designs for web platforms.
  • Design wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups, maintaining visual consistency and usability standards for web portals.
  • Stewardship of cross-platform (web and mobile) design system, maintaining visual and UX consistency/standards.
  • Advocate for accessibility and inclusivity by ensuring designs comply with WCAG guidelines and meet diverse user needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design requirements, present concepts, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

What you need to be successful in this role:


Mandatory Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, HCI, or related field
  • Certifications in Interaction Design or Usability testing
  • Minimum 6 years of hands-on UI/UX design experience, with a strong focus on web portals/ apps. Experience in fintech, BaaS, or enterprise platforms is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Figma: Expertise in creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs, including collaborative workflows and design system creation.
  • Accessibility Standards Expertise: Strong understanding of WCAG compliance to design for inclusivity across mobile and web platforms.
  • Design System Development: Proven experience in developing and maintaining scalable design systems for web portals and mobile consultancy.
  • HTML, CSS Fundamentals: Basic hands-on knowledge of front-end technologies to ensure seamless collaboration with developers.
  • User-Centered Design Principles: Demonstrated ability to design intuitive, user-friendly web interfaces aligned with usability best practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile principles and methodology, integrating design processes into sprint cycles and iterative development.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Strong ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams, articulate design concepts effectively, and influence decision-making.
  • Creative Problem-Solving: Innovative and user-centered approach to address complex design challenges while aligning with business goals.
  • Time Management & Adaptability: Skilful in prioritizing tasks and delivering high-quality outcomes in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Desired Technical Skills

  • Cross-Platform Design Knowledge: Understanding design nuances for both web and mobile platforms, guiding mobile consultancy where needed.
  • Usability Testing Tools: Experience with tools like Maze or Optimal Workshop for conducting user testing and gathering actionable feedback.
  • Prototyping Skills: Advanced abilities to demonstrate complex user interactions and flows through interactive prototypes.
  • Animation Skills: Experience with 2D animation in After Effects and export using BodyMovin/Lottie.
  • Agile Design Integration: Proficiency in embedding design workflows into Agile frameworks, including sprint planning and iterative cycles.
  • Front-End Collaboration: Basic knowledge of JavaScript or React to facilitate efficient design-to-development handoff.
