Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end testing strategy, test planning, and execution for core banking transformation and upgrade projects.
  • Manage functional and automation testing across multiple banking verticals, including Capital Markets, Corporate Banking, Retail Banking, and Cards.
  • Work closely with business, technology, and operational teams to ensure test automation and quality assurance processes align with project goals.
  • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using industry best practices and tools like Selenium, JBehave, Karate, and Cucumber.
  • Ensure integration and automation testing across satellite applications connected to Temenos T24/Transact.
  • Monitor and control test execution, ensuring minimal effort variance and effective resource utilization.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in testing delivery, collaborating with senior stakeholders, including General Managers and Chief Executives, to resolve potential bottlenecks.
  • Drive continuous improvements in automation, maximizing return on investment (ROI) and ensuring robust test solutions for core banking systems.
  • Oversee test management tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, and workflow management tools like Flowable, Appway, and Intalio.
  • Provide leadership in troubleshooting issues, analyzing test failures, and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Prepare, review, and deliver test closure reports for releases and overall program success.
  • Lead and mentor a team of testing professionals, building strong expertise in core banking testing practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, development teams, product vendors, and third-party providers, to ensure smooth testing operations.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
  • 15 years+ of experience in core banking testing, with a strong focus on Temenos T24/Transact.
  • Extensive experience in test management, test strategy development, and execution in banking transformation projects.
  • Strong hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Karate, JBehave, and Cucumber.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Git/Bitbucket.
  • Proficiency in managing API automation framework design and development.
  • Exposure to banking products and financial domain expertise.
  • Experience managing multi-vendor and cross-stream environments for Tier 1 banks.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive testing initiatives and improvements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to work with senior leadership teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in end-to-end functional and automation testing for wealth transformation programs.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based test environments and modern DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of Temenos TDL and TDS upgrades.
  • Certifications in Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) or relevant testing methodologies.
