Job Overview:

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and motivating a team of sales professionals to achieve and exceed sales targets. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, sales strategy development, and customer relationship management. The Sales Manager will also collaborate with other departments to ensure that the sales team has the resources and support needed to succeed.


Job Description:

Team Leadership and Development:

  • To recruit, train and mentor a team of Sales Engineers/ Sales Executives.
  • To conduct regular performance reviews, set individual targets by providing coaching and feedback to help team members reach their full potential.

Sales Strategy Development:

  • To develop and implement sales strategies to achieve or exceed revenue targets.
  • To analyse market trends and competitor activities and to identify business opportunities.

Sales Forecasting and Reporting:

  • To monitor and analyse sales performance, pipeline and key metrics.
  • To prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to senior management.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • To build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
  • To address customer concerns and to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • To collaborate with other internal departments in order to ensure the sales team has the tools and information needed for success.

Sales Process Improvement:

  • To identify areas for improvement in the sales process and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Budget Management:

  • To manage the sales department budget, including expenses for travel, training and sales incentives.
  • To ensure spending aligns with the company’s financial goals.

Compliance and Ethics:

  • To ensure the sales team adheres to company policies, industry regulations and ethical standard

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Material Engineering.
  • More than 5 years of working experience in Sales / Marketing of related Industry.
  • Strong leadership and able to lead the team with logical thinking.
  • Service-oriented with good command of spoken and written English.
  • Good computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
  • Good interpersonal, organization, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Good problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
