Roles & Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute test cases, scripts, and procedures to thoroughly test software applications and systems.
  • Identify, record, and track bugs through rigorous testing and validation processes.
  • Collaborate with software developers and other team members to analyze test results and troubleshoot issues.
  • Participate in requirement analysis and design reviews to ensure testability and identify potential areas of improvement.
  • Perform regression testing to verify that previously identified and resolved defects do not reoccur.
  • Conduct performance, load, and stress testing to assess the reliability and scalability of software applications.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to streamline testing processes.
  • Document test plans, test cases, and test results for reference and future use.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, tools, and technologies related to software testing.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on testing progress, issues, and resolutions.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology, Electronics Engineering, or related field with minimum 5 years’ experience.
  • Proven experience in software testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar automation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools such as Jira or Trello.
  • Experience with programming languages such as JavaScript or PHP is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A passion for quality assurance and a commitment to delivering high-quality software products.

Software testers play a crucial role in the software development lifecycle for several reasons:
