Job Overview:The Junior Windows Administrator will support and maintain our Windows server infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security. This role involves assisting with the configuration, management, and troubleshooting of Windows-based systems, as well as providing support to end-users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows Server environments.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings in Active Directory.
  • Implement and manage backup and recovery processes.
  • Ensure the security of systems through regular updates, patches, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Support and maintain Windows-based applications and services.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Collaborate with senior administrators on system upgrades, migrations, and projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Batch) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Preferred Skills:

  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Fundamentals or similar certification.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Basic understanding of ITIL principles.
