Overview

The Assistant Manager / Senior Executive of Community Relations plays a pivotal role to strategize, develop, and execute Communications and Partnerships/Events plans for the organisation. This role requires a dynamic individual with a passion for effective communication, strong project management abilities, and the capacity to engage resourcefully with a diverse group of stakeholders.


Job Description

1) Assist the Manager (Community Relations) in the following areas:

Communications

  • Strategize with the team in the planning of content for both online and offline communications platforms (e.g., social media, video productions, website, fundraising campaigns, newsletters and collaterals).
  • Lead the team in creating content for both online and offline communication/ media plans. (e.g., social media, video productions, website, fundraising campaigns, newsletters and collaterals).
  • Collaborate with other departments/teams to engage and strengthen the charity’s branding and marketing for the general public, corporates, volunteers and our beneficiaries.
  • Be involved in the organisation’s crisis communications initiatives and plans.

Project Management and Partnerships

  • Collaborate with all internal teams and external stakeholders (e.g., corporates, schools, community) to spearhead partnerships projects.
  • Establish, implement and manage project management structures and systems for the team, to ensure that events/campaigns are executed successfully.
  • Work with the team to develop grant proposals for the organisation.

2) Be involved in projects as directed by Manager (Community Relations) and/or the Executive Director.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Communications and Events Management. Candidate with managerial experience will be considered for Assistant Manager position.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation and project management skills.
  • Proficient in digital communication tools and platforms. Experience in social media analytics is advantageous.
  • Possess flair for visual designs, visual storytelling and other creative content creation.
  • Skilled in digital platforms such Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, PremierePro) and Wordpress is advantageous.
  • Team-player who has strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strategic-thinker who is resourceful, and able to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-Motivated, proactive and adaptable work attitude.
