Roles & Responsibilities

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst that will station in China, you will work closely with traders, suppliers, and stakeholders to monitor supply-demand dynamics, pricing trends, and policy shifts that will impact agricultural commodities. This role requires a deep understanding of China's agri-market, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in both Mandarin and English.Key Responsibilities:
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on China's agri-commodities market, including supply-demand trends, pricing, regulations, and competitor analysis.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Analyze trade flows, import/export data, and economic indicators to provide actionable recommendations.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify market risks, policy changes, and geopolitical factors impacting trade activities.
  • Trading Support: Assist the trading team with market intelligence, business strategies, and forecasting models.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with suppliers, buyers, and government entities to stay informed on key industry developments.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management to support decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Agriculture, or related fields.
  • 2-5 years of experience in business analysis, market research, or trading, preferably in agri-commodities.
  • Strong understanding of China's agricultural market, trade policies, and regulatory landscape.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin and English (spoken and written) is essential.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex market data.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, capable of working independently in China.
