Job Title: Vessel Master / Senior Master (Passenger and Vehicle Vessel)

Location: Eastern Australia

Role Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Master / Senior Master to command a passenger and vehicle vessel, ensuring its safe and efficient operation. This is a crucial leadership position where you will uphold the highest safety standards, foster a positive and collaborative team environment, and deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Navigational and Safety Leadership:Assume full responsibility for the safe navigation and operation of the passenger & vessel, strictly adhering to all maritime regulations and company safety protocols.
    Develop and implement effective emergency response plans and conduct regular safety drills.
    Maintain a proactive approach to risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Vessel Maintenance and Reporting:Oversee and manage the vessel's preventative maintenance program, ensuring all equipment is in optimal condition.
    Conduct thorough vessel inspections and maintain accurate records through an online management system.
    Promptly report any maintenance issues or operational discrepancies.
  • Customer Service and Crew Leadership:Establish and maintain a culture of exceptional customer service, ensuring all passengers and stakeholders are treated with courtesy and professionalism.
    Provide strong and effective leadership to the vessel's crew, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum STCW 95 certification and Master Certificate 4 (MC4) for vessels less than 35m near coastal.
  • Marine Emergency Duties (MED) 1 certification; consideration will be given to MED 2 certified candidates with demonstrated strong engineering knowledge.
  • Pilot Exemption for the passenger & ferry vessel.
  • Valid Forklift License.
