Roles & Responsibilities

This role focuses on supporting, maintaining, and optimizing infrastructure for enterprise workflow applications, with a strong appreciation for DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Support and Maintenance:


• . Hands on experience in installation, upgrade, migration and configuration of various IBM ECM and BPM products like IBM Case Manager, WebSphere application server Network Deployment, IBM BAW, IBM Datacap, IBM FileNet, IBM Content Navigator and FileNet Content Search Services Windows/Linux servers.


• Knowledge on CPE, AE, ICN, Workplace-XT, and FileNet Image services administration, installation, configuration, and fix pack upgrades.


• Hands on experience in implementing, managing & troubleshooting windows and AIX and Linux for FileNet Administration.


• Assist in managing on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure supporting workflow applications.


• Monitor infrastructure performance, uptime, and capacity to ensure availability and reliability.


• Troubleshoot and resolve basic infrastructure-related issues under the guidance of senior engineers.

DevOps Practices:


• Learn and contribute to building CI/CD pipelines for deploying and managing enterprise workflow applications.


• Assist in automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Terraform or Ansible.


• Support containerization efforts using Docker and Kubernetes.


• Workflow Applications Support:


• Collaborate with development teams to understand infrastructure requirements for enterprise workflow systems.


• Support the deployment, scaling, and performance optimization of workflow tools and applications.


• Gain an understanding of how infrastructure interacts with workflow applications to deliver seamless business processes.

Security and Compliance:


• Learn and assist in implementing infrastructure security best practices.


• Support efforts to ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards.

Documentation and Collaboration:


• Document infrastructure configurations, troubleshooting steps, and workflows for team knowledge-sharing.


• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, DevOps, and QA, to support project goals.

Qualifications:

Education:


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Technical Skills:


• Basic understanding of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.


• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and basic cloud services.


• Exposure to scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.


• Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including DNS, firewalls, and load balancing.


• Willingness to learn DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and version control systems (e.g., Git).

Soft Skills:


• Strong desire to learn and grow in infrastructure and DevOps.


• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.


• Good communication and teamwork abilities.


• Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):


• Internship or academic experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or related projects.


• Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines or infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform.


• Familiarity with workflow tools or middleware platforms (e.g., Camunda, Apache Airflow).


• Understanding of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk.
