We have reached the point of needing an extra pair of hands and we are looking for an Accountant to join us.
The role:
As a registered Accountant you will be in charge of ensuring proper accounting for the company and our clients.
This role will take care solely of the companies incorporated in Singapore. The other jurisdcitions are not part of the scope.
The Responsibilities:
- Maintains full set of accounts for us and clients.
- Manages all financial and accounting transactions.
- Prepares timely monthly and annual closing.
- Computes taxes and prepare tax returns.
- Manages balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
- Reconciles accounts payable and receivable.
- Maintains ledger to ensure effectiveness and accuracy of all accounting tasks.
- Support annual audit preparation with external auditors (when required).
- Maintains financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.
- Supports creation of SOPs for accounting policy and regulations and roll out reconciliation procedures.
- Keeps books and systems up to date.
- Stay updated on statutory requirements/ legislations and Government funding schemes.
- Perform other accounting duties as required.
The Requirements:
- MUST be a public accountant registered under the Accountants Act OR a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants OR a member of the Association of International Accountants (Singapore Branch) OR a member of the Institute of Company Accountants, Singapore.
- Working knowledge of relevant provisions of Singapore Companies Act.
- Thick skin and amazing communication skills. Clients can be nice or rude, get ready for it.
- Self-motivated and proactive; able to work independently and meticulously under tight deadlines
- Relevant experience in corporate secretarial firms is a plus
